Women of Rebirth
Welcome to The Women of Rebirth Empowerment and Leadership Program! The WoR Program is an Empowerment and Leadership program by Rebirth A Non Profit Organization. The Women of Rebirth program is an interactive 12 week bi-weekly empowerment mentoring program for women and female youth who are victims of abuse and or trauma and ready to break generational barriers within themselves and their communities.
Autumns Fight 4 The Homeless
Help Us as Rebirth joins in on Autumns Fight 4 The Homeless!
Autumn is a 14 year old amazing young teenager! Her passion for the Homeless started young ...Autumn was born with Oculocutaneous Albinism also known as being ( Albino) ...after experiencing how it feels time and time again to have someone turn their back on you because of what is seen from your outer appearance she set a goal to help others that experienced the same things....
.she said...."I never want to look at someone and judge them....you never know what who why when or how.....I never want people to experience that feeling of being alone in there time of need and comfort"...after volunteering in the community multiple times for the homeless she was set in her passion to fight 4 the homeless!
Autumn, also a member of the Women of Rebirth Program serviced over 55 Homeless Detroiters gifting care packages for Christmas worth over 10 dollars each this year!
Housing and Community Development
In an effort to tackle the housing crisis that women who have or are currently experiencing trauma face, the multiple Rebirth housing options will address the key factors needed for stability and independence. The Rebirth Housing Project #1 will provide Transitional housing and supportive services for women who are in the Women of Rebirth program and are DV survivors and or /Female Veterans. Rebirth Housing Project #2 will provide Permanent Housing to Female Veterans and DV Survivors, with supportive services options. This will be the first of the many housing options addressing emergency, permanent, and permanent supportive categories of housing in order to fulfill our vision of a full development of Rebirthed Communities, a community and its residents being Rebirthed of negative generational social, economic, and community development barriers.
Community Gardens and Parks Beautification
Located in Ferndale,MI is The RUG! The Rebirth Urban Garden! An Urban Community Garden for fresh healthy food for our neighborhood! The Rebirth Urban Garden is Child Friendly! It's an opportunity for our community to learn how to garden, educate each other on healthy food and healthy food choices and have family and community fun throughout the seasons right in the neighborhood!
